“Science Through Entertainment With Shooting Stars On Demand” Presentation by Dr. Okajima
     
    On 22nd February, the Consulate-General of Japan organised a lecture presentation titled “Science Through Entertainment With Shooting Stars On Demand” at Kompleks Cahaya Siswa, USM and Tech Dome Penang. Consulate-General of Japan invited Dr. Rena Okajima, C.E.O. and founder of ALE Co. Ltd, Japan to lecture the presentation. This event was supported by School of Aerospace Engineering (USM, Nibong Tebal), USM Astronomy Club, Tech Dome Penang and Astronomical Society of Penang.

      The main objective of this lecture presentation is to introduce to the public about the new technology development from a Japanese company, namely ALE which offers massive artificial shooting stars falling from sky which can be used as a grand opening or finale at festival celebrations, commercial events or any other occasions that call for fireworks of a more astronomical quality.
