Penang Anime Matsuri Summer Party 2015
(Penang, May 23th&24th) Penang Anime Matsuri Summer Party 2015 was organized at DEwan Sri Pinang and Esplanade, by SOZO ( Producer of AFA -Anime Festival Asia ) and brought to the public by the Penang State Government and Penang Global Tourism, supported by the Consulate-General of Japan in Penang. This event was the first of its kind in Malaysia with the most popular content from Japan. The highlight of the event is the live outdoor concert featuring well-known "anisong" artistes Mika Kobayashi and Yanaginagi as well as deejays Hachioji-P and DJ'TEKINA//SOMETHING a.k.a Yuyoyuppe.
Consulate-General of Japan in Penang organized Yukata Try-On, Shateki (shooting game), Takeuma (stilt walking) , Yoyo balloon D.I.Y., display of Japanese dolls, distribution of Niponica magazines, Travel Japan pamphlets and video screening of Japan tourism and culture.
