School Caravan: SMK King Edward VII, Taiping, Perak
(Penang, Sept 13) 36 students from SMK King Edward VII, Taiping, Perak joined the School Caravan at Consulate-General of Japan for the first time. They were accompanied by their Japanese language teacher, Ms. Nirmala.

At the Japanese traditional games session, Japanese volunteers introduced the students “Ayatori あやとり”(string figure game). Ayatori is a design formed by manipulating string on, around, and using one's fingers or sometimes between the fingers of multiple people. |

Students were also introduced to play Koma 独楽 (spinning top) during the game session. Koma was and still is a popular traditional toy in Japan. |

Consulate-General of Japan conducts a school caravan from time to time upon request of schools, introducing and promoting mutual understanding in terms of Japanese language, custom, and culture traditions among Malaysian students. |
