Japanese Cooking Demonstration 2013

(Penang, 22nd June ) With the aim to promote good friendship and cultural exchange between local Japanese and Penangites, the Malaysian Japanese Society (MJS) organized a Japanese Cooking Demonstration with the support from Consulate-General of Japan Penang and Penang Japanese Association (PJA). This event was held at The Penang Japanese Association HQ in Penang.
   
   There were 24 participants enrolled. The cooking demonstration was conducted by Chef Uthai Namkam. Mr. Uthai is the residential chef of Consul-General of Japan in Penang. He has learned Japanese cuisine at world-renowned Tsuji Culinary Institute in Bangkok. He has worked in several famous Japanese restaurants in Thailand before he came to Penang in 2010.
   
   Sushi, Tempura and Chawan Mushi were menu of the demonstration.
