School Caravan: Sekolah Menengah Sains Tuanku Syed Putra, Perlis
(Penang, Apr 24) 36 students from Sekolah Menengah Sains Tuanku Syed Putra, Perlis visited Consulate-General of Japan for School Caravan programme. They were accompanied by their Japanese language teachers Mr. Ooi Guan Lee and Ms.Masliza.

A presentation of Introduction to Japan and Japanese boys’ festival was held during this event.

Japanese volunteer Ms. Yamamura conducted Japanese action songs singing session. The session was lively and fun as Ms. Yamamura was playing the keyboard while students singing along with actions. Ms. Yamamura also taught the students to fold origami book, lily flower and koi fish. |
The school caravan ended with Japanese Traditional Ghosts workshop conducted by consul Nishizawa. It was an interesting workshop as students were introduced to many types of legendary ghosts and amazed to know the origin of various ghost characters in Japanese manga. |

Consulate-General of Japan conducts a school caravan from time to time upon request of schools, introducing and promoting mutual understanding in terms of Japanese language, custom, and cultural traditions among Malaysian students. |
