Consul – General, Mr. Noda attended the first completion ceremony for training of Non – revenue water (NRW) reduction project under JICA Partnership Programme. The training was held at the new training field set up in PBA(Perbadanan Bekalan Air) office complex in Penang.
15 trainees and 7 trainers from 11 water supply agencies (Kelantan, Sabah, Perak, Kedah, Johor, Malacca etc,) in Malaysia have joined this training.
Efficient water resource management is an important issue for Malaysia and nationwide non – revenue water reduction may be achieved through this programme.
Water supply related Japanese companies displayed their products, such as water pipes, leak detectors and meters. Participants showed high interest in these products. （Related links）
