Consul–General Noda’s Activity: Attends the 21th Prize Presentation Ceremony of Malaysia Toray Science Foundation
 
Consul-General, Mr. Ryuji Noda attended the 21th Prize Presentation Ceremony of Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) organized in Kuala Lumpur on 2 December 2014. A total of 36 recipients received the three prestigious awards and grants this year.

Held in conjunction with the 21th Anniversary of MTSF, the Award Ceremony was officiated by Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation YB Datuk Dr.Ewon Ebin, in the presence of the Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, Dr. Mikio Miyagawa. In his address, Dr. Miyagawa congratulated the recipients for their excellent achievements.

Malaysia Toray Science Foundation:
- Established in 1993 in Penang, Malaysia through 4 million initial endowment from Toray Japan. Yearly contributions from Toray Science Foundation and Toray Group (Malaysia)
- Aimed at stimulating and promoting basic research in science and technology, besides contributing to the betterment and growth of Malaysian society through natural scientific and technological advancement.
- Three annual awards and grant to recognize outstanding Malaysians
a. Science & Technology Award (STA) (for Malaysian scientists and researchers)
b. Science & Technology Research Grant (STRG) (for young Malaysian researchers)
c. Science Education Award (SEA) (Malaysian teachers and educators)
