Japanese University Graduates’ Get-Together 2011
The annual Japanese University Graduates’ Get-Together was held at the residence of the Consul-
General on 7th October. The gathering was attended by Malaysian’s who graduated from various
universities in Japan as well as the committee members of Japan Graduates’ Association of
Malaysia-Northern Branch (JAGAM-NB).
Mr. Tetsuro Kai, the Consul-General, gave a welcoming speech, emphasizing next year would be 30th
anniversary of the Look East Policy initiated by Malaysia. He also introduced Ms. Yap Kah Kay, the
winner of the recent 27th National Level Japanese Speech Contest 2011 to the guests.
The Japanese University Graduates’ Get-Together is an annual gathering in order to renew their
friendship among the alumni and exchange views on how to promote Japanese Language and culture
based on their own experiences.
