Manga Workshop by Mr. Seiji Iwami
A Manga workshop was held on the 4th and 5th December 2010 at KOMTAR Dome.
We invited Mr. Seiji Iwami, a veteran Manga artist appointed by the Agency
for Cultural Affairs of Japan as the “Japan Cultural Envoy” to promote
Japanese Manga. He held a Manga workshop for the children who were participating
in the Hope Church Malaysia National Convention children’s camp with the
theme “Rickshaw Rally – Japan”.
Mr. Iwami invited the children to draw Manga together after demonstrating his
Manga drawing skills on the stage. Most of the children could draw very well
with Mr. Iwami’s guidance.
He later drew some of the children’s Manga portrait. There was a bee
line of children queuing up to let Mr. Iwami draw a portrait of them.
