Consul – General Noda’s activity : Visit to Panasonic Energy Malaysia’s factory
     
    Consul – General Ryuji Noda visited Panasonic Energy Malaysia’s factory with Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, Shigeru Nakamura on 11th April.
 
    Panasonic Energy’s plant is located in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah state and producing solar panels since December 2012. This plant manufactures wafer, cell and module for solar panels in an integrated manner. Their “HIT” solar panel’s outstanding features are “ excellent power generation, suppress output drops during high summer temperatures and higher efficiency”. Solar panels are planned to be supplied in Malaysia and to other ASEAN countries , Europe, North America and others though current main market is Japan.
 
    600 Malaysian are working now and engineering staffs are sent to Japan for training. The plant is planned to reach full 300MW production capacity by April 2014. The number of Malaysian employees would be increased up to 1500 with further expansion.
