Consul-General of Japan at Penang, Mr. Noda made a factory visit to Shorubber (Malaysia), Perlis on April 25, 2014.
Shorubber (Malaysia), with Showa Glove Co., Himeji, Japan as its headquarter, was established in 1989 and is one of the biggest glove factories in the world, with a workforce of 2,200.
Showa produces industrial and household gloves made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride), NR (natural rubber), NBR (nitrile butyl rubber) and PU (polyurethane). Since its foundation, Showa focuses on development of gloves with emphasis on originality. They internally design and develop everything from hand former to manufacturing facilities and produce gloves with the best quality and functions. Shorubber produces the above variety gloves as one of the main production sites for Showa.
