Mochi Tsuki demonstration at Occupy Beach Street

On 11th February, the Consulate-General of Japan in Penang participated in the Occupy Beach Street by having a booth to introduce Japanese mochi (rice cake) making.  Many of those who participated in the OBS Chinese New Year Run 2018 as well as other people had experienced the Japanese culture of Mochi Tsuki. Besides Mochitsuki making, Niponica magazines and Tokyo Olympic 2020 pamphlets were also distributed for free to the visitors.
