Mr. Koay and other executives explained how the company has developed integrated manufacturing capabilities, ranging from component production to electronics assembly and testing, to meet diverse customer needs. They also highlighted Kobay’s longstanding business relationships with Japanese companies and its high regard for Japanese-made machine tools. In addition, they expressed a positive interest in developing technical talent and accepting interns from Japanese universities. Mr. Machida expressed his hope that technological and business cooperation with Japanese companies, as well as human resource exchanges with Japanese universities, would further develop.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Penang will continue to closely follow developments involving promising companies in Malaysia, particularly in Penang, as well as companies and industries being promoted by the Federal and State Governments and will do its utmost to support further industrial cooperation between Japan and Malaysia.
