Press Conference for Penang Bon Odori 2026

On July 13, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, attended the press conference for Penang Bon Odori 2026 held at KOMTAR, together with YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State EXCO for Tourism & Creative Economy, and other organizers and sponsors involved in the event.
This festival is the largest Japanese cultural event organized in collaboration with the Penang State Government and the local Japan-related organizations. The event will be held at the Esplanade (Padang Kota Lama) on July 18 (Sat) from 5:00pm to 11:00pm. We warmly invite everyone to join us and experience the vibrant spirit of a Japanese summer festival.
