MOU Signing Ceremony between Penang Hill Corporation and Canon Marketing Malaysia

On July 9th, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, attended the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between Penang Hill Corporation and Canon Marketing Malaysia at Penang Hill.
The five-year strategic partnership aims to promote biodiversity conservation, environmental awareness and community engagement within the UNESCO-designated Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve.
The ceremony highlighted initiatives including the documentation and preservation of bird species and other biodiversity through imaging technology, environmental education, photography exhibitions and public workshops. Representatives of the Penang State Government also reaffirmed their commitment to preserving Penang Hill’s rich natural environment and historical heritage for future generations.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Penang will continue to support cooperation between Japanese companies and Penang and further strengthen the friendship between Japan and Malaysia.
