Visit to Sungai Ara Community Ambulance

On Wednesday, June 24th, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, visited Sungai Ara Community Ambulance to follow up on the current status of a project implemented several years ago under Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, and to receive a briefing on local emergency medical services. The NGO reportedly conducts emergency response activities mainly in the southeastern area of Penang Island under the same system as Penang General Hospital. The Consulate-General intends to continue visiting such sites and to make efforts to identify possible projects related to social infrastructure.
