On June 26, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, received a courtesy call from representatives of the Blue Santa Program. They exchanged views on the activities of NPO Umisakura and marine environmental conservation.
The Blue Santa Program promotes marine environmental protection through activities such as beach cleanups conducted by volunteers dressed as blue Santa Clauses. The program will be officially launched on June 27 as part of the Festival Inspirasi Jepun, held at the Esplanade.
