Japan Cultural Festival 2026

On June 13, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, attended the "Japan Cultural Festival 2026," held at the EcoWorld Gallery @ Eco Horizon, jointly organized by the EcoWorld, JAGAM (Japan Graduates’ Association of Malaysia) Northern Branch, and VVIN Event.
The event featured a variety of programs, including Yosakoi dance, J-Pop dance, a karate demonstration, yukata dressing experience, and a tuna cutting show. The venue also offered a Japanese food corner and booths showcasing Japan-related products, drawing large crowds well into the evening. The Consulate-General set up a cultural exchange booth, hosting workshops on origami and kirigami, as well as displaying Japan cultural items.
