Consul-General Participates in the “Penang Heritage Walk”

On May 9th, Mr. Shinya MACHIDA, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, participated in the “Penang Heritage Walk” event organized by Penang State Assembly Member Joseph Ng in the Ayar Itam district of George Town, Penang, and visited PBA’s water treatment plant located in the area. This water treatment plant was constructed by British authorities prior to independence, offering a glimpse into the history of Penang’s development. We intend to continue actively participating in events such as the “Penang Heritage Walk” that help deepen our understanding of Penang.
