Press Conference for the “Blue Santa Program”

On April 20, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, attended a press conference for the “Blue Santa Program”, held at Town Hall, Esplanade, Penang. Originally launched in Japan, this program is jointly organized by Brewspark Technologies and the City Council of Penang Island. It contributes to marine environmental protection through activities such as collecting trash along beaches while dressed as blue Santas.

Main Schedule:

• June 27 : Official program launch (as part of the Festival Inspirasi Jepun)
• December 26: Award ceremony (for the participant who collects the most trash over a six-month period)
