Consul-General Attends MOU Signing Ceremony between Toyama University and Universiti Sains Malaysia

On February 5th, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, attended the MOU signing ceremony with Toyama University held at USM (with Deputy Chief Minister II YB Jagdeep Singh Deo also in attendance). Following the ceremony, a seminar related to pharmaceutical sciences was conducted. Toyama University has established a permanent office at USM, the first national university in Japan to do so, and will promote, including active student exchange with Japan going forward. The Consulate-General will also provide support.
