Visit by Criminology Expert to the Consulate-General

On February 23rd, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, met with Mr. P. Sundramoorthy, a criminology expert (former professor) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), at the Consulate-General. They exchanged views on local crime trends, police affairs, and related matters. As crimes, including fraud cases, continue to diversify and become more complex, the Consulate General intends to maintain connections with crime experts and others to strive to provide useful information to Japanese nationals in this area.
