Visit by Officials from the Penang Branch of the “Malaysia Entrepreneurs' Development Association” (PUMM) to the Consulate-General

On January 14th, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, received a visit from representatives of the Penang Branch of the Malaysia Entrepreneurs' Development Association (PUMM: Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia) and exchanged views. PUMM is a non-profit organization supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Malaysia, regardless of whether they are in manufacturing or service industries. As this is an organization that may potentially provide supportive assistance when Japanese SMEs consider expanding into this region in the future, the Consulate-General intends to maintain our relationship going forward.
