Consul General visits the Bagan Specialist Centre

On December 9th, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul General of Japan in Penang, visited Bagan Specialist Centre, a local medical institution. Mr. Machida inspected the institution’s facilities and held discussions with specialists, including an internal medicine specialist who graduated from Tokyo Medical and Dental University. We understand that Bagan Specialist Centre maintains various connections with Japanese medical experts. Gaining insight into the local medical situation is also beneficial for consular duties, so the Consulate-General intends to continue fostering exchanges with local medical institutions going forward.
