Consul-General's Courtesy Call on NCIA CEO

On November 28, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, paid a courtesy call on Dato’ Mohammad Haris, CEO of the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), and exchanged views on various matters. On his part, Mr Machida reiterated his long-held view that for the NCER states, including Penang, to achieve economic development, it is crucial to cooperate wherever possible. Dato’ Mohammad Haris touched upon the importance of strengthening connectivity within the four northern states and expressed their desire to establish connections with Japanese companies.
