Consulate-General’s attempt for an Industry-Government-Academia Collaboration in Tourism
2025/11/14
On November 14th, Mr Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, hosted a high tea at the residence for participants of the “Languages and Communal Imagination in Asia: International Conference on Moving, Wayfaring and Tourism” (a joint project by Rikkyo University and Sunway University) held from November 14th to 16, as well as local government, private sector, and academic representatives involved in tourism. We believe it is important to pursue multifaceted and sustainable cooperation between our two countries in the tourism sector as well, by forming partnerships among government, academia, and the private sector.
