Consul-General's Visit to Universiti Utara Malaysia

Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, attended “LeadersMind 2025” seminar held at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in the Kedah state border area with Thailand on November 8th. This seminar focused on the future of Malaysian university education and international collaboration. Mr. Machida emphasized the importance of contributing to society through collaboration between government, industry, and academia. UUM has deep ties with Japan, hosting the Japan Foundation's cultural program in 2023 and a student-led cultural program in 2024. We look forward to maintaining these connections going forward.
