Consul-General's Courtesy Call on Chief Minister of Kedah State

On October 21st, Consul General Machida paid a courtesy call on YAB Dato' Seri Haji Muhammad Sanusi, Chief Minister Sanusi of Kedah. During the call, Mr. Machida told the Chief Minister on the Consulate-General’s top priorities, which are to ensure the safety and security of the approximately 200 Japanese nationals residing in Kedah and the smooth operation of the roughly 40 Japanese companies present in the state. Subsequently, they exchanged views on the future economic development prospects for Kedah, including infrastructure development. Going forward, the Consulate-General hopes to deepen discussions with Kedah State officials regarding support for Japanese companies and other matters.
