Visit by Consul-General to Hanchiang University College of Communication

On October 17th, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, visited Hanchiang University College of Communication. He received an overview of the university, established in 1991 and upgraded to university college status in 2017, and toured its facilities. The university has a strong focus on media-related fields and shows significant interest in Japanese language education. This may open possibilities for exploring potential joint projects in the future. The Consulate-General intends to continue expanding its network to foster mutual understanding between Japan and Malaysia/Penang and to promote Japanese culture.
