Consul-General Attends JICA Third Country Training Programme(TCTP) Closing Ceremony at JMTi (Japan-Malaysia Technical Institute)

On October 13th, at JMTi (Japan-Malaysia Technical Institute), Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, attended the closing ceremony for JICA’s Third Country Training Programme(TCTP) on cybersecurity. This program, held from October 2 to 13, was for 15 participants from seven countries (Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Timor-Leste). The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Human Resources and others. Third-country training in Malaysia actually began in 1983, demonstrating that Malaysia has been a mature partner with Japan in international cooperation since early on. The Consulate General intends to continue providing support for joint international cooperation projects in Malaysia, working in collaboration with JICA and others.
