Consul General’s Attendance at the Opening Ceremony of the ‘Ukiyo-e’ Exhibition

On October 10, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul General of Japan in Penang, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition of ‘Ukiyo-e: The Art of Japanese Print’, hosted by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) with the support of a grant from the Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur.
This exhibition is open to the public at the Muzium & Galeri Tuanku Fauziah (MGTF), USM until October 25, where visitors can appreciate a curated selection of reproductions by the renowned Edo-period Ukiyo-e artists Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849) and Utagawa Hiroshige (1797–1858).
