Japan Cultural Festival 2025

On June 22, Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul General of Japan in Penang, attended the "Japan Cultural Festival 2025," held at the EcoWorld Gallery @ Eco Horizon, co-organized by the EcoWorld, JAGAM (Japan Graduates’ Association of Malaysia) Northern Branch and VVIN Event.
The lively event drew crowds of people until late into night, with a variety of programs such as Yosakoi dance from Japan, kimono show, KLP48 concert, cosplay, shakuhachi performance as well as Japanese food stalls and Japanese-related goods. The Consulate-General of Japan set up a cultural exchange booth, where origami and kirigami workshops were held and Japanese cultural items were displayed.
