Consul-General visits Japan Malaysia Association
2025/5/16

Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, who was temporarily back in Japan, visited the Japan Malaysia Association (JMA) on May 16 to meet Mr. Koichi Ogawa, President, and his team. During the meeting, they exchanged opinions on how to publicize the mangrove forest restoration activities that the JMA is conducting in Kedah. Mr. Machida learned anew that the JMA has been steadily and sincerely conducting its projects, as it has almost planted one million mangrove trees in Sarawak over the past 30 years. The Consulate-General will continue to provide any possible assistance for such meaningful projects.
