Consul General meets Prof. Ichiro Sugimoto, Dean of Faculty of International Liberal Arts, Soka University

Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, who was temporarily back in Japan, visited Ichiro Sugimoto, Dean of the School of International Liberal Arts, Soka University (and who is also Representative of Center for Malaysian Studies) on May 16, to exchange views on Japan-Malaysia/Penang relations. Prof. Sugimoto is a Malaysia expert with a Ph.D. from the University of Malaya, and has close relations with Universiti Sains Malaysia, and is deeply involved in academic exchange between the two countries. The Consulate General will continue to support such academic exchange efforts in the future.
