Consul General meets Malaysian Ambassador to Japan, JAGAM Japan Branch Chairman, and “Dream Yosacoy” organizers

Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, who was temporarily back in Japan, met H.E. Dato' Shahril Effendi Abd Ghan, Malaysian Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Steven Tan, Chairman of the Japan Branch of the Japan Alumni Association of Graduates of Malaysia (JAGAM), and Ms. Chisato Sentani, President of Dream Yosacoy Global Promotion Foundation in Tokyo on May 12. In this meeting, they had a chance to discuss such issues as the future of Japan/Malaysia cultural projects. Mr. Machida learned that a Dream Yosacoy team would participate in a Japanese cultural festival organized by a private company in June. The Consulate General will provide maximum support to any initiatives to better connect Japan and Malaysia/Penang.
