Consul General visits Jishukan High School in Aichi Prefecture

Mr. Shinya Machida, Consul-General of Japan in Penang, on May 7, when temporarily back in Japan, visited Jishukan High School, a public school in Aichi Prefecture, to see Mr. Yasutaka Terada, Principal, and his teaching and administrative staff. With Mr. Terada’s briefing, Mr. Machida learned that Jishukan, a key senior high school in the Higashimikawa region, has a strong resolve to play a bigger role in the region through such measures as an integration of a junior high school, more high school-university synergy, and more interaction with blue-chip foreign schools. The Consulate-General will do its best to help make this year's Penang study tour as fruitful as possible, while praying for the success of Jishukan, which has been contributing to and has been nurtured by the local community.
