Japan Cultural Festival 2024

On June 22, Consul General Kawaguchi attended the "Japan Cultural Festival 2024," organized by the EcoWorld in collaboration with the JAGAM (Japan Graduates’Association of Malaysia) Northern Branch and held at the EcoWorld Gallery in Penang.
The lively event drew crowds of people, with a variety of programs such as Japanese dances (yosakoi and soranbushi), drum performance (taiko) and wearing of costumes (cosplay and yukata), as well as Japanese food stalls and Japanese-related goods. The Consulate-General of Japan set up a booth to conduct origami and kirigami workshops and display Japanese cultural items.
