Aki Matsuri (Autumn Festival) at The TOP Penang

On 18th November 2023, Consul General Kawaguchi participated in the opening ceremony of the Aki Matsuri (Autumn Festival) at The TOP Penang, organized by the Malaysian-Japanese Society.
The very lively event, which was held on 18th and 19th November, drew crowds of people, with a variety of programs such as Miss Aki Matsuri contest, Japanese dances, Taiko drum performance, Yukata wearing experience, etc. as well as food stalls and Japan-related goods.
The Consulate-General of Japan set up a booth to conduct origami and kirigami workshops, display Japanese cultural items, and distributed publicity materials on Japan.
