Tecoma Rosea planting ceremony

On 1st March, Consul-General Mr. Kanoya was invited to participate to the planting ceremony of 5 Tecoma Rosea trees at Esplanade to mark the inauguration of a project called “Penang Sakura 333 (san san san)”. The project aims to make Penang greener as well as to create a new tourist attraction where both Penangites and tourists can enjoy, by planting 333 Tecoma Rosea trees, also popularly known as “Penang Sakura” for its similarity to the iconic Japanese cheery blossom.
